Austria: arrestati 4 Pink Panther con bottino di furto a Montreux

Quattro membri della famigerata banda Pink Panther sono stati arrestati a Vienna con orologi e gioielli per un valore di 500’000 euro. Nel bottino c’erano anche 18 orologi, di cui uno del valore di 55’000 franchi, frutto di una rapina da loro compiuta a metà gennaio a Montreux (VD). Lo riferisce il quotidiano « Kronen Zeitung », precisando che gli arrestati sono un serbo, due israeliani e un belga.

Austrian police arrest four ‘Pink Panther’ jewel thieves

Austrian police said they had arrested two Israelis, as well as a Serbian and a Belgian suspected of belonging to the notorious international “Pink Panther” group of jewel thieves.

The four men, aged between 35 and 40, were arrested last Thursday in a Vienna hotel and jewellery and watches worth about US$565,000 (RM2 million), police said.
