Watch: Dramatic CCTV of watches smash and grab raid

These are the two smash-and-grab raiders who escaped with £165,000 worth of watches in 30 seconds.

They battered their way into The Cheshire Watch Company on King Street West, in Manchester city centre, with sledgehammers before shattering a display case.

Among the haul of eight watches was a rare Rolex GMT Master II worth £47,900.

Once inside, the pair, both wearing crash helmets, activated a smoke bomb, and grabbed eight watches.

Raiders carried out the robbery on Naz Jewellers in Rochdale, Greater Manchester in broad daylight last Thursday lunchtime. Images from the store’s CCTV cameras show four men running towards the shop before one of them uses a battering ram to get through two doors.

Ramraiders who struck at Foleshill shop made off with stash of gold jewellery

Ramraiders stole a large quantity of Asian gold after smashing their way into a Coventry jewellery store. A silver Mercedes mounted the pavement and drove through the front window of Gems Jewellers in Station Street East, Foleshill. The incident happened in the busy shopping street, which is just off the main Foleshill Road, at 5.30pm on Thursday.
